He completed a Bachelor of Science Degree at Villanova University. He then completed his medical training at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1987. In 1990, he completed a three-year pediatric residency at Medical Center of Delaware. After working for two years as a pediatric emergency room physician, Dr. Kaplan went on to finish a three-year fellowship in pediatric nutrition at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He became an Assistant Professor while teaching and performing research at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, LA. He has been in practice in Plano since 1997. What is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine(D.O.)? Jennifer - Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP). She has a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University. She completed the Masters of Science in Nursing Program specializing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to becoming a PNP, Jennifer spent ten years as a registered nurse in several metroplex hospitals working in various areas including trauma, orthpedics, neurosurgery, women's services, and pediatrics. She also worked as a school nurse for the Richardson Independent School District. Jennifer and her husband live in Plano are the proud parents of two daughters and one son. She and her husband enjoy taking the kids camping to various State Parks in Texas. She is an avid reader, loves sports, and enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. Holly – Registered Nurse A native of Texas, Holly graduated from El Centro College in Dallas in December, 1996. She has worked in the pediatric profession since January 1997. Her experience includes Neonatal ICU and Pediatric Office Nursing. She joined Kaplan Pediatrics when the practice opened in April, 1999. Holly enjoys running, traveling and spending time with family. Kim – Office Manager, C.M.A. Originally from Arkansas, Kim graduated from Concorde Career Institute as a certified Medical Assistant in 1991. She has worked in the medical profession since 1992. Her experience includes both Pediatrics and Dermatology. She joined Kaplan Pediatrics in August, 2001. Kim enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her two daughters. Paige – Medical Assistant Paige is originally from Corsicana, Texas. She plans to attend Physician Assistant school after graduating UT Dallas in Richardson. She has been working as a Medical Assistant since 2001. She joined Kaplan Pediatrics in January, 2005. Paige enjoys photography, traveling and her Yorkie, Gracie. Jenny – Receptionist Jenny was born in Sachse, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in May 2008. She has a bachelor degree in Sociology, and is currently continuing her education at UTA to become a Registered Nurse. Jenny has been with the practice since May 2008. She is a proud mommy to a beautiful son that keeps her busy most of the time. Other than that, Jenny enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and studying for nursing school. Barb- BSN, Registered Nurse Barb was born and raised in Rochester, N.Y. She graduated from the Sate University of New York at Plattsburgh in 1969. Barb has worked in the pediatric field since June, 1969. Her experience includes General Pediatrics, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU and Pediatric Office Nursing. She joined Kaplan Pediatrics in 2000. Barb enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, reading, and attending the Pops concerts at the Meyerson.
